I feel alive in the middle of "racing" my granddaughter...then I feel exhausted! Time spent with my grandchildren and listening to them laugh always makes me feel alive!!

I feel 'alive', energized, totally joyful, in so many areas of my life! God's good gifts are so varied, I can't nail it down to just one thing! But, one thing that makes me so grateful is when I see, years later, the fruit of seeds sown in earlier times. For example, all the fun music-mentoring times accompanying 3 teen-aged boys--David, Mike, and Matt--on their horns for Solo/Ensemble; and all the praise band practices with them and Mary Jean. Now they are all adults, serving God and continuing to develop their musical talents in a way that blesses themselves, the people around them, and brings praise to God, Who gave them the talent in the first place! When I can look back and see that God used me to bring someone closer to God, whether in this kind of instance, or directly telling/coaching them about God wanting to be #1 in their lives, I FEEL ALIVE!! And awed that God actually used me to help someone...

I feel alive when a project is completed and it was a great success, whether it was directing a cantata, orchestrating a talent show, completing a story for my book, or giving a presentation. To feel that you gave it your all, and by the grace of God, it all worked together for good makes me feel very fulfilled and alive.

This probably sounds fairly cliche, but I feel alive when I am working with children. They have such a glow and a zest for the things they love. They are not necessarily rational, they operate on passion. You can convince them of anything because they trust and wonder and listen (well...the unspoiled one). So I feel alive when I work with children because they remind me that if I ever hope to live passionately again, I should act more like them. After all, he who does not come onto me as a little child, said Jesus Christ, cannot inherit the kingdom of heaven.

Many things make me feel alive: Talking with people, singing, reading a good book, and waking up on those rare occasions when I have managed to get enough sleep!

Music makes me feel alive! Makes a good day great and makes the bad ones better. No matter what, its always there when you need it. It's amazing that you get to do that for a living!!! Nice to know someone that actually made it! :-)

I feel ALIVE when the Holy Spirit moves me through whatever kind of music He chooses. Sometimes it's a worship song; many times it's a cutting blues riff that makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. It's when I realize how special God made us - that we ARE separate from the animals, and He formed us in His image to bring Him glory through the many talents he has gifted to his people.
